
Keshia Avant Brown is a Board-Certified Physician Assistant licensed to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Virginia. She graduated from the Master of Physician Assistant Program at Eastern Virginia Medical School and obtained her Bachelor of Science from Hampton University. She is currently employed full-time in Urgent Care & Family Medicine at Velocity Urgent Care, where she also serves as the Practice Manager. Keshia is a 2020 graduate of Regent University, earning her degree from the School of Business Doctoral of Strategic Leadership Program.
Keshia, affectionately known as “Dr. Kesh,” is the founder of the non-profit organization “PurposeHER,” where she mentors women across the country and has touched the lives of over 2500 women through her yearly women’s conference since starting in 2018. She previously worked and served many patients and families across Hampton Roads in Obstetrics & Gynecology for four years. Keshia has a passion for serving others, particularly women. Her goal has always been to serve the community as an exemplary role model and give back through mentoring and educating women and youth.
Today, she proudly dons her “White Coat” as a symbol of her belief that whatever you hold in your heart, you can also hold in your hand! Beyond her professional achievements, Dr. Keshia is a member of the esteemed sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha, Inc., and serves on the board of commissioners for the Chesapeake Housing and Redevelopment Authority and the YWCA. She is a devoted wife to Pastor James of The Mount Chesapeake in Chesapeake, VA, and a loving mother to their three children, James Emmanuel, Jaxon Emory, and Kennedy Nicole.
